DNA Health Test

Only about 25 percent of our life expectancy is determined by our genes. Over 75 percent is not determined by our genes. We can influence this 75 percent: this is the field of epigenetics.

Genetics holds the blueprint for our cells and thus for our bodies. Our genes are sections of the DNA sequence and are inherited. They contain the instructions our bodies need to make each of the thousands of proteins required for life.

Epigenetics decides how genes are read. It has the power to regulate which genes are activated or silenced. If a gene is silenced, no protein is produced from the code of that gene, and the function of the cell cannot be performed. Epigenetics has an impact on the expression of our genes and thus can influence disease and health.

What Affects Gene Regulation?

Epigenetics is significantly shaped by an individual's environmental influences. The good news is, the shaping of our environment is something we can influence, and thus we can promote our holistic self-healing.

  • Transgenerational epigenetics

  • Psycho-epigenetics

  • Socio-epigenetics

  • Nutri-epigenetics

  • Sleep

  • Environment and detoxification

  • Vitamin D metabolism

Any or all of these factors can be considered and explored during our health coaching sessions, following an integrative and personalized approach.

DNA Health Test & Consultation

Understand your bio-individuality

There is a close connection between the genes we carry and the choices we make about diet, medications, and lifestyle. The objective is to understand your genetics and thus your bio-individuality, so that you can better manage the influencing factors of epigenetics. Get to know yourself.

Gene Variations (SNPs)

Each gene is made up of thousands of "letter combinations" (in the form of nucleotides) that form your genetic code. We all have small inherited differences in our genetic code that make us unique. The variations can affect the expression of a gene and influence functions and metabolic processes that are important for maintaining cellular health. These also influence individual responses to environmental factors such as diet, lifestyle, supplements, and exercise.

How the test works

Each person has approximately 1.2 million gene variations (SNPs). Approximately 40,000 SNPs are known to have genetically altered functions. DNA Life's DNA tests measure the SNPs where precise lifestyle interventions can have an impact on the expression of these genes. You can make more conscious choices and find more effective solutions to optimize your health and achieve your individual goals.

Test Offered

DNA Health® tests for genetic variations known to have a significant impact on health and susceptibility to chronic disease. The following core biological processes are involved: fat metabolism, bone health methylation, B vitamin requirements, insulin sensitivity and risk for diabetes, detoxification, inflammation, and oxidative stress, response to specific foods, vitamin requirements.

Test (including VAT & shipping) & consultation: 490€

Testing Process

I will place the order for you. You will receive the test kit at your home to collect the sample using dried blood spots. After pricking your finger with a lancet, put 5 drops of blood on a filter card. Then you send the sample back to the laboratory.

Step 1

The sample is processed in the dnalife® laboratory and the result/report is ready within 10-15 working days.

Step 2

The consultation. We will go over your results and discuss meaningful interventions that are unique to you and your genetic predispositions.

Step 3
